Is anyone else getting a bit antsy for spring? While I love winter, there’s something so wonderful about flowers blooming and the trees getting their leaves back, so I thought a perfect way to get some of my longing out was to share Jacob and Jenna Grace’s engagement session with you guys! We had the perfect spring day, and these two are basically models (along with their adorable pup!) so my job was pretty darn easy!
Woah! What a fun session this was! I’ve always wanted to do a session in Sam Houston National Forest because it’s gorgeous and a bit more secluded that the usual spots. I met Jose and Brittany just inside the forest, and we didn’t have to walk very far to find some really amazing light! This spot is perfect for winter months too because the trees are pine and they’re always green. Jose and Brittany were up for absolutely anything, including walking half a mile down a bridge to reach Lake Conroe for some shots towards the end of the session. We’re celebrating these two this weekend out at Broken Arrow Ranch, and I cannot wait to see the vision Brittany has for her wedding day. From the sounds of it, it’s going to be spectacular! Congratulations you two! I know it’s been a long road getting to this moment, but I am so excited to be there with you.
Jacquie and Ryan are getting married tomorrow! We’re going to celebrate with them at St Mary’s Catholic Church and Peach Creek Ranch, two of my absolute favorite places for weddings in College Station. We headed out to shoot their engagement session at the end of last spring at the Antique Rose Emporium, and y’all, we had the most beautiful light that day! The kind of light I secretly pray for before every session.. just kidding, but really, it was so lovely. Ryan and Jacqueline are so sweet, fun, and easy to get along with. Ryan knows just what to do to make Jacquie laugh at just the right time. It was so adorable to watch these two from behind the camera. I know their wedding day is going to be a special one, and we cannot wait to see what they have planned.
Amber and Jason got married nearly two weeks ago, but I couldn’t not share their gorgeous engagement session. We did their engagements in the heat of the Texas summer at one of my favorite spots in College Station, it was real hot y’all. But these two are not phased by anything. I had such a great time with them. I love engagements because it gives me a chance to get to know both my bride and my groom.. and it gives you guys an opportunity to get to know me a little bit and see how I work. It also makes for an easier wedding day because you kind of a have an idea of what I’m going to tell you to do!
I think the thing about Amber and Jason that I noticed right off the bat was how great of listeners they were. They truly wanted to hear what I had to say, and they took my direction with ease. I won’t share too much about their wedding day quite yet (because it is definitely coming to the blog very soon), but it was so sweet and I could just see how much they loved each other and cared for one another in the way they listened and loved on each other. Their engagement session was just the same. Eep!! I hope you guys enjoy these photos. Congrats, Amber & Jason! I’m so happy for you guys.
