Beautiful Jessica married her high school sweetheart, Jared, in Houston this weekend! A few weeks before, Jessica, her mom, and I headed to Rice University to take her bridal portraits. The past couple of years spring in Texas has brought an enormous amount of rain, but somehow we got super lucky with a GORGEOUS Texas day. I scouted the university out before the session and found this gorgeous garden, and of course we had to incorporate the stunning architecture! I'm so in love with Jessica's gorgeous green eyes, cathedral veil, and amazing personality! So happy for her and Jared!
When Taylor told me she thought this historic neighborhood might be a cool location for their engagement session, I don't think I could have replied with HECK YES fast enough. The trees, oh the trees! Not to mention, the houses weren't half bad to look at either, hah. We got lucky and had the most perfect spring day with the most gorgeous sunshine. I had so much fun with Taylor + Vince. Their laid back attitudes and love for each other made it sooo easy. I can't wait for their August wedding at Pecan Springs near Brookshire!
Megan and Matt have known each other since she was just a little 8 year old girl and he was a 10 year old boy, so it was no surprise to anyone when Matt asked Megan to be his wife. They celebrated their wedding day at the Sam Houston Hotel in downtown Houston, surrounded by those that love them most. It was a overcast day, with a little bit of rain, but the sun came out at the perfect moment. I couldn't be more honored and blessed to have been able to capture Matt and Megan's beautiful wedding day. Enjoy this little look into their lovely day.
Yay! I'm so excited to share these photos from Matthew and Megan's engagement session! We had to reschedule twice because of the weather, so I was so, so glad when we finally got to get together. We had lots of fun walking around Hermann Park in Downtown Houston. I hadn't ever been there before, so I was pretty excited to see what it was all about. It truly didn't disappoint, the gorgeous photos below are a testament to that. Oh, and Rice University, your trees are amazing.
Matthew and Megan remind me a bit of Curtis and me. They're high school sweethearts, they both went to A&M (might I mention both Megan and I only applied to Texas A&M), and they truly are each other's best friend, you can just tell. I'll just let the photos do the rest of the talking. Thank you Megan and Matthew for the opportunity to shoot your engagement photos, I had so much fun! May the Lord bless your marriage and all of the days leading up to your date in August.
