Lydia and Justin are getting married this weekend, and I am so excited to see them again and celebrate! It's going to be the best Cinco de Mayo ever! We had such a great time during their engagement session out at one of my favorite spots, Old Baylor Park in a little place called Independence. It was really quite cold and windy that day, but they were troopers! Plus, colder weather means more cuddles, and I'm never going to complain about that. These two are such a sweet pair, and it's so obvious why they've chosen each other to spend the rest of their lives together.
Meet Shelby + Cody. These two lovebirds are high school sweethearts, so naturally I have a connection with them and their sweet, adorable love for each other. Shelby is also a photographer (I'll be sharing her photos from her portrait session later this week!), and she inquired about a session to update her headshots, as well as get a few of her and Cody out at one of her favorite places, the Antique Rose Emporium. I was so, so excited! We met up for coffee, talked about life, photography, and everything in between, and I knew from there on this girl was something special! I'm so excited to finally share these photos of Shelby + Cody! You can see more of Shelby's work here at www.shelbytsikaphotography.com.
For Rachel and Nathan's engagement session, we went to Texas A&M's campus for some classic Century Tree photos, as well as out to Lake Bryan to capture them in some romantic sunset light. These two met during their time at Texas A&M, so naturally the Century Tree was a perfect place to start the session! Rachel and I met up for coffee one evening to discuss her and Nathan's wedding, and I knew we were going to have a good time during the session and the rest of their wedding planning process because we sat and talked for 3 hours. I love it when I can connect with my brides on a deeper level than just being their wedding photographer, and their session didn't disappoint! Happy to celebrate with these two in January! Enjoy!
Gosh, I'm excited to share this session! Daniel + Amber aren't getting married until next October, but she said she absolutely knew I was the photographer she wanted to capture her wedding (oh my lands, what a compliment!) so she booked me right away. I feel like I've gained a friend rather than a client, and that is literally the best feeling a wedding photographer can have! These two love birds will be getting married out at Moore Ranch, the same place these engagements were taken, and I am so, so excited about it! The oak trees alone are enough to make me happy, but the fields and all of the fun old buildings make for a fantastic venue.
I had such a great time during their session, it was one of the first really humid weeks we'd had in a while, but they totally toughed it out and we had an amaaazing session. These two truly compliment each other perfectly. Enjoy these photos!
