bridal session

Courtney | Deerfield Estates Bridal Session

My beautiful best friend since 2nd grade got married on Saturday to the love of her life. It was a gorgeous fall day filled with sweet moments that I will cherish forever. When Dillon and Courtney got engaged, she asked if I'd be willing to do their engagement photos and her bridal portraits. Obviously, I was already planning them out in my head because when one of your best friends gets married and you're a wedding photographer, you naturally want to take allll the photos. It was such an awesome experience to be on the other side of the camera for the day though. Just enjoying the friendship I share with Courtney and getting to focus solely on her and Dillon for the day as a bridesmaid. I'm so proud of the woman she's become and the amazing wife I know she'll be! I prayed so often that my friends would find men that support them, serve them as the head of their household, and fight for them and their relationship day and night. I'm fairly certain Courtney found the perfect one for her and I couldn't be happier!

Melanie | Carleen Bright Arboretum Bridals

Summer bridals are generally full of lots of sunshine, smiles, and the inevitable Texas heat. Melanie's bridal session at the Carleen Bright Arboretum was just that, but so much more because she got to share the special moment of transforming into a bride by putting on her dress with her full hair, makeup, and bridal bouquet with her mom and two sisters. I don't often get to shoot weddings or session for people I know personally, so when the opportunity arises, I am oh so thankful for the sweet memories I get to share with people that are dear to my heart, too! This past weekend, Melanie married her love, Barrett and it was an awesome ceremony showcasing God's love for us and the ways He brings the perfect person into our lives. Can't wait to share their sweet wedding day on the blog!

**Shout out to a former bride of mine and Melanie's sis-in-law, Sara for being awesome and holding branches out of the way so we could get in the perfect position with just the right amount of gorgeous light. And to Megan, Pam, and Sara for being the best cheerleaders and making Melanie feel like a princess. You can't even tell it was 100 degrees!
