I always love heading to McKinney Fall state park for engagement sessions. The natural beauty combined with the awesome Texas sunsets just make my heart happy. When I suggested McKinney Falls to Abigail for their engagement session in February, I was hoping I'd be able to live up to her and Samuel's adventurous and fun attitudes towards their relationship. These high school sweethearts remind me a lot of Curtis and myself. Getting married super "young" and following the path God intended for them, not questioning if it's the "right" thing to do and basing their lives off of what society tells them is what they should be doing. They love each other SO much, and I know they're strong enough to boldly go through life together. I can't wait to see them on Sunday and celebrate their love as they get married to one another. It's going to be a blast!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared a wedding on the blog, and I’m making a commitment to change that and share so many of the beautiful days I’ve captured over the past year! Emily and Michael’s gorgeous wedding day was so much fun. I hadn’t ever been to Barr Mansion, the location of many of their photos and their reception, and I was so excited to finally have an opportunity to shoot a wedding there. It didn’t disappoint! I love the classic, Victorian house and beautiful grounds they’ve created to compliment the joyous time being celebrated. Emily and Michael were married in St Peter’s Church of Coupland, the same church his parents and grandparents were married in. How awesome is that?! So much love and history there. Emily especially wanted photos with the windows of the church, and I was not going to say no to that! I love the romantic feeling those particular photos make me feel. The journal you see Emily writing in and later Michael reading was a journal Michael gave Emily when he proposed, and she has been writing love notes and special memories they share in it since then. Ahh, I just love it!
Their reception was full of amazing dancers, as they and many of their friends were a part of the Aggie Wranglers Dance organization during their time at Texas A&M University. No typical swaying slow dance for these two. Their first dance was so magical, and later they all put on a little show for the wedding guests that blew my mind. It was the perfect wedding day, full of so much love, happiness and plenty of sunshine. Enjoy this look into Michael and Emily’s first day as husband and wife!

I am so excited to share Taylor's gorgeous bridal session at the Antique Rose Emporium (I just can't stay away, y'all)! We may have been attacked by love bugs the entire time, but I'm so happy with how these photos turned out. We got lucky with a gorgeous April day full of beautiful sunshine. Taylor is so sweet, and I had such a great time with her and her mom. Easy going, relaxed clients are the best, y'all. It feels more like you're hanging out with a friend! She made for one beautiful bride, and I feel pretty darn blessed to be the one that captured this amazing time in her life.
Matt and Taylor are a super sweet couple, and I was really excited when they picked two of my favorite spots for their engagement session this past November! We headed out to the Antique Rose Emporium and Old Baylor Park in Independence, Texas to capture their relationship. I shot Taylor's bridal session about two weeks ago, so I thought now was a great time to share some of my favorites from my time with them. I'm super excited to celebrate with them next month! They're both laid back and so kind, I know it's going to be a blast! Enjoy!
