I had so much fun with Shelby during her portrait session. We met up for coffee before planning everything out and talked about life, photography, and everything in between. I really love getting to know other creatives in this crazy industry. It's so easy to start doubting yourself or comparing yourself to the success of others, and I'm a true believer in community over competition. If we all lift each other up, rather than pushing each other down, we can create a growing and thriving community that's a place where people can feel comfortable being the person they are and be a successful business owner in the process. You can see Shelby's awesome work over at www.shelbytsikaphotography.com. I can't wait to do my own session with Shelby really soon!
Carmen and Tony celebrated their one year anniversary last month, and to celebrate, we went out to the Antique Rose Emporium where they were married one year ago for their anniversary session. It was a wild month weather-wise here in Texas, so we were so incredibly fortunate to have some amazing sunlight for their session! These two were such a joy, and I am so happy to have been able to capture this awesome milestone in their lives! And the top tier of their wedding cake.. Carmen baked it and according to them, it still tasted pretty darn amazing. Happy first anniversary you two! Here's to a hundred more!
Aly and Ryan just bought their beautiful new home in Cinco Ranch, a suburb of Houston. When Aly asked me if I wanted to shoot their anniversary session in their new house, I literally couldn't say yes fast enough. As photographers, we have sessions we sort of dream about having, and then when those dreams actually come true, it's really freaking awesome. These two were gorgeous and had so many amazing ideas for how they wanted their session to go. It was so much fun! Happy Fourth Wedding Anniversary, Aly and Ryan!
