Meet Shelby + Cody. These two lovebirds are high school sweethearts, so naturally I have a connection with them and their sweet, adorable love for each other. Shelby is also a photographer (I'll be sharing her photos from her portrait session later this week!), and she inquired about a session to update her headshots, as well as get a few of her and Cody out at one of her favorite places, the Antique Rose Emporium. I was so, so excited! We met up for coffee, talked about life, photography, and everything in between, and I knew from there on this girl was something special! I'm so excited to finally share these photos of Shelby + Cody! You can see more of Shelby's work here at www.shelbytsikaphotography.com.
Houston couples photography
Aly and Ryan just bought their beautiful new home in Cinco Ranch, a suburb of Houston. When Aly asked me if I wanted to shoot their anniversary session in their new house, I literally couldn't say yes fast enough. As photographers, we have sessions we sort of dream about having, and then when those dreams actually come true, it's really freaking awesome. These two were gorgeous and had so many amazing ideas for how they wanted their session to go. It was so much fun! Happy Fourth Wedding Anniversary, Aly and Ryan!
Courtney has been one of my very best friends since 2nd grade. She's known me through awkward chubby stages, weird haircuts, strange crushes on strange boys, puberty.. need I say more? She's always been there, and I'm so grateful for her. Dillon and Courtney are about to move up to Montana, and she wanted a few pictures before they left with their corgi pup, Roxy. I was more than happy to make my way to the Mercer Arboretum in Houston on a Sunday afternoon to do just that for them. I'm sad they'll be leaving, but so excited for them to start a new adventure! Curtis and I just might have to come up to the Great White North to visit sometime! hehe! Good luck you two, I hope it's a fresh new start.. with some seriously awesome views! I love you, Courtney. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
