The Filter Building Wedding | Melissa + Garett

Melissa and Garett were married at the Filter Building on White Rock Lake in Dallas. It was a super sweet ceremony, and they were surrounded by their closest friends and family. Garett made the arch himself, how awesome is that?! Their love was so apparent throughout the entire process, and I was so happy to have been able to capture their love and emotion all day long! If you'd like to see Melissa's gorgeous bridals at the Dallas Arboretum, you can find them here

Winfrey Point Wedding | Jake + Alyssa

Jake and Alyssa were married at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake in Dallas this July. It was a gorgeous day, full of love and happy hearts. I couldn’t have been happier to be photographing such a beautiful wedding. Seriously, I am officially obsessed with every detail of this wedding, and I’m pretty jealous of Alyssa’s amazing wedding dress. I met Jake and Alyssa in college through Aggies for Christ, and I even got to photograph their proposal, which was also on White Rock Lake, last November. It was a bit warmer for their wedding day, but Texas came through for us with some serious sunshine that helped create some of my favorite photographs ever. Their love for one another was apparent all day long. From the moments before the wedding when they were reading each other’s letters, to Jake’s expression when he saw his beautiful Alyssa for the first time walking down the aisle, to their alone time while talking portraits. I had so much fun photographing all the love! So. Much. Fun. Okay, I’ll be quiet and let the photos speak for themselves.

Dallas, TX | Personal Files

Here's a few photos from our weekend trip to Dallas for a Pentatonix concert. We stayed in downtown Dallas overnight for the first time in both of our lives, which was pretty neat.. minus the TINY parking garage we parked in. Sunday morning we ventured out to the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff, where we ate yummy BBQ at Lockhart Smokehouse, wandered around local shops,  had a good conversation with an antique store owner, and ate some delicious pie. After an afternoon of fun, we went to the Pentatonix concert at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie. It was a great weekend, and showed us a side of Dallas we hadn't really explored before!

Jake + Alyssa | Dallas Proposal Photography

When Jake asked me if I could photograph his proposal to Alyssa a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't say, YES, YES, YES fast enough! I was so excited for him, for them both really, and I wanted to be able to give them some great photos to remember this awesome day in their lives. Their relationship is so sweet, and I loved seeing the look of pure joy on both of their faces the entire evening. Oh, and the ring Jake picked out.. uhm, can you say gorgeous? As a girl who loves herself some solitaire diamond rings, I was in love with Alyssa's brand new engagement ring!

Jake chose Winfrey Point in Dallas for the proposal, and a more perfect spot could not have been had! Seriously, I want to come back here and do some sessions. It's so worth the three hour trip from College Station. Anyway, enjoy these lovely photos of Jake and Alyssa's proposal! Happy engagement you two, and we pray for so many blessings on your new journey together!
