I am based in College Station, Texas, but I am available for travel throughout the state of Texas and worldwide. Portrait of me by Tara Barnes. Portrait of B and me by Curtis Ross. Portrait of Curtis, B, and me by Ashley Monogue.
Hey there, I’m Kristina.
Usually the first questions people ask me are how I got into this whole photography thing and did I always know I wanted to be a photographer.
Well, yes… and no.
Yes, I always knew I wanted to be some sort of “creative.” I never lost that fiery passion for creating and doing things with my hands that children seem to have in abundance. I grew up dreaming about becoming some sort of artist and making things for others. There was bit of a problem though, I can’t draw and my painting skills maxed out at age 6, and while I’d love to learn to do woodworking or pottery, access to that type of artistry was exactly abundant to my teenage-self. So, what did I do instead? I picked up a camera at the age of 19 and thought, huh, I’d like to learn how to use this. It wasn’t until I married my high school sweetheart, Curtis, two years later that I realized how I could use my gifts to serve others in a way that felt natural and like something I was called to do. So, I set out on the long and windy road of becoming a wedding photographer.
I love what I do with everything I am. It is one of my life’s greatest blessings to be able to be creative and serve others at the same time. It’s still really crazy to me most of the time that I get to do this for a living.
But what I love the most is the heartfelt smiles, the silly moments, the adventures I get to see unfold before my camera lens. Sure, you’re just taking photos, but these photos are of moments you will cherish for a lifetime. These photos are ones your grandchildren will see one day and think, wow, my Nana and Pops were so in love and so, so beautiful. And gosh, if that doesn’t tear at your heartstrings, I don’t know what will. I want your moments to be captured. I want your moments to be remembered.
My story includes a tall and goofy husband named Curtis, who you’ll most likely have the chance to get to know because he’s my second shooter and moral support for wedding days, the sweetest, most inquisitive baby boy, B, who made me a mama at the very end of 2017, and two beagles who make life quite interesting. We are constantly dreaming about the places we want to travel to when we aren’t off on an adventure, and if you’re up for it, we’d love to take you to one of our favorite restaurants because we are total foodies. We live our lives for Christ and pray that our hearts reflect Him in all that we do. We love the simple things, being near the mountains, sweater weather, sweet tea, and Fightin’ Texas Aggie football.
Somehow, in all the internet, you found your way here, and I am so glad you did. Welcome to the place where I share my artistry with you, but most importantly, welcome to the place where I share the stories of so many couples and families that I love and care for deeply.
