2014 in Review

2014 has been an awesome year for Kristina Ross Photography and me. I consider 2014 as year zero for my wedding photography business, and I set some goals I had hoped to accomplish during the year when I was planning all of this crazy business stuff out. I'm glad to say I've accomplished the majority of my goals. The first one being getting more comfortable behind the camera and figuring out my own "style" of photography. I didn't necessarily feel UNcomfortable behind the camera, it was more of feeling awkward and silly while in front of clients. I'm a naturally introverted and shy person, so prancing around with a big fancy camera while telling people how to pose themselves was kind of terrifying to me. It still is, and I'm not sure if that will ever really go away, but I continue to conquer my fears by stepping behind the camera and in front of people every single session I do. And after every single session, I feel such incredible joy! You guys, photography makes me so happy! I found my own style through a bit of trial and error, and I still have much to learn posing wise and framing wise, but I'm proud of how far I've come.

My second, and largest, goal was to book and shoot five weddings, and that's exactly what I did. I thank God for all five of my couples all the time. I am so, so grateful for their trust and their support of Kristina Ross Photography. Without them, I probably wouldn't be trying as hard to make this business grow, and I certainly wouldn't be booking weddings for 2015 already. Ximena and Rudolfo. Megan and Matt. Angela and Paul. Destiny and Ryan. Amy and Zach. You all mean the absolute world to me, and I'm proud to display your wedding photos on my website and blog. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Also, to those of you who weren't wedding clients, but still allowed me to take photos for your family in whatever shape or form it may be, thank you! I am so happy and grateful for it all.

My third goal was to create photos I was proud of. Photos that showed my growth. Photos that showed my creativity. Photos that told a story. All of the photos you'll see below are some of my favorite of 2014. I have too many I want to share, but these are those that continue to inspire me and make me smile. Enjoy these photos, and thank you for your support in year zero of Kristina Ross Photography. I am ready to see what 2015 has in store!
